I am ready for my next adventure crossing the Lofoten Islands via the GCL starting July 1. I am traveling from Portland, OR USA to Svolvaer which will take 4 flights and a ferry. I will meet a new backpacking friend from Switzerland and we will begin the adventure together. I will plan on documenting the Trek on my blog:

I do hope we see the sun during this trek, does appear that it rains a lot in the Lofotens.
My plan is to take a ferry back to Bodo by the 16th when I will fly back to Oslo for a couple days of sightseeing. I do a lot of backpacking here in the Pacific Northwest, but my hiking community knows very little about Norway or the Lofotens. Maybe that will change as new friendships are made.
