Find a way to walk from Vindstad to Kjerkfjorden

Hello David,
thanks for your answer. The path between Vindstad and Forsfjorden we found on your web site and
we decide, we will try to walk this way.
On google maps, it may seems that there was a chance to walk along the shore from Vindstad to Kjerkfjorden ,
but it must be a simple way, because we hike with tent and it makes not so much fun to
climb with all the weight
I´m going to look for posts in the forum and in doubt, we must take the ferry.

Hi Boris,

You will find a couple of posts (in english) on this forum answering your question. To summarize, although it is technically possible to walks/climb from Vindstad to Kjerkfjord it is dangerous and thus not advisable. For that reason you will not find any indications for this part on our web site.
For the part between Vindstad and Forsfjorden, the path is not written on the official maps (but very few paths are written on those maps) there is a small path and we consider that it is not too dangerous to use it. You will find indication on this path here

Have a safe hike on the Lofoten

Hello Guys,
my Name is Boris from Germany. I have a question about the possibility to walk from Vindstad to Kjerkfjorden along the wetside of Kjerkfjorden ,because we will be independent from the ferry boot schedule.
Another idea is to across the Brunakseltinden and then find a path to Kjerkfjorden.
Both ways are not discribed in the map, but also the way along Forsfjorden to Vinstad isn´t
described ,but we found a describtion in the net.
