Hello all. This is a wonderful site, which is helping me tremendously in preparing our trip to the Lofoten in June. Thank you!

I have a very specific question: we will be coming to the Lofoten by motorcycle. We would love to do a couple of overnight hikes, for example to Horseid Beach or to other places that cannot be reached by road. Only problem: I don't feel comfortable leaving my motorcycle somewhere unattended overnight.

Does anybody know of any secure parking places in Reine, or anyplace else where we could leave the bike safely and depart for a nice hike? I would have no problem paying for it.

There is usually no risk to let your motorcycle/car for a few days in Norway, as long at it is not bothering the rest of the traffic.

Just ask the cafe or the gas station in Reine they will tell you where to park.
