Hello,

I am aware you cannot cross Helvetestinden to get from Vindstad to Kjerkfjorden, but I wonder if one of the below routes is possible? Basically, if there is any way to avoid backtracking from Munkebu if not taking a boat.

Also, there seems to be a short Hiking Trail from Hamnoya NE into Vorfjorden. I wonder if anyone tried to connect that with the trail from the north end of the fjosdalen tunnel?

Hi,

To be short:

First map (hamnoya.jpg), yes it is possible (although not advisable) to walk on the blue track of your first map and even to join the trail of Svartvatnet which start before the tunnel of Fjosdalen.

If you start from Hamnoya, you will find a small track on the 500 hundred first meters and then NOTHING in a very wild terrain until Svartvatnet lake. We tried it, it is very hard and not very enjoyable.

Second map (vindstad.jpg), no this is not possible. From Reine it is not possible to reach Tennes along the fjord. From Tennes to Engelsneset it is possible to walk more or less along your blue track. From Engelsneset to Kjerkfjorden it is not possible to walks and very dangerous because of rock falls and cliffs...

Keep on the safe side and have a nice trek in the Lofoten
